Tropical Island in de Sun

I finally have my camera working again.  It turns out that this card reader I have only works if I wire it through my TARDIS USB Hub first.  Can't say I'm too upset with the fact that it makes the whoosh noise every time I plug something in.

ANYWAY.  Here are the pictures from February vacation and the remainder of the month.  I will have the beginning of March up some time this week.  (:

February 17 - I'm hooooome!

February 18 - Waking up in my own bed for the first time in a month is always nice.

February 19 - I obviously did not take this photo.  The wonderful unfilteredpictures happened to be at the bus station where I picked Erich up when he came to visit.  He saw me waiting, had his camera out, and happened to take a snap right as I went flying at Erich.  After we caught our breath, he approached us, saying he had a website and asking if we'd like him to post it so we could have it.  I love this photo.  Please check out his site and tell him how much you love the picture.

February 20 - I fell asleep next to Erich watching Firefly, and I was too lazy to get up and get my camera to take the day's picture.  Phone photos for the win!

February 21 - ...and it happened again.

February 23 - I had separation anxiety with my long hair...

February 1 - Crazy hair is back!

February 6 - I was staying at my cousins' house, and I forgot my camera!  Crappy iPhone photos for the win.

February 7 - Sometimes, if it's too late at night and I'm on the computer, this sort of zombified stupor comes over me.

February 8 - Yes, that is a Perry the Platypus shirt.  What of it?

February 9 - Sleeping in the Perry shirt again.  Don't judge me.

February 10 - This isn't my dorm!  This isn't my roommate!  I'm in Maine!

February 11 - Okay, so this picture obviously wasn't taken by me.  When I went to visit Erich in Maine, he took me on a date!  It was the first time I'd ever really been on a date, so his parents wanted to make sure I got the full effect.  This included taking WAY too long to get ready, getting to walk down the stairs, and many, many pictures.

February 12 - This is what I look like after 5 hours of travelling.  Not a pretty sight.

February 13 - Settling back into university after a weekend away.  At least there wasn't as much ice in Massachusetts!

February 14 - What I look like before I fall asleep...

February 16 - So many essays!  The stress is starting to get to me.

Back With a Vengeance!

...or just a crapton of pictures.

Hey guys!  I have finally figured out my camera issues, which means I am BACK!  We have a lot to catch up on.  I have tons of pictures, so I'm going to do the remainder of January tonight and post most of February's pictures tomorrow.  Here we go!

January 19 - This is what the lounge of my floor looks like!  My roommate was asleep, so I snuck out here to take a picture.

 January 20 - What am I smiling at just out of frame?  I'll never tell.

 January 21 - I stopped in the North End to get pastries after dropping Erich off at the bus station.  It rained.  Not amused.

 January 22 - I still love the Mickey Mouse sweatshirt.

 January 23 - So, it wasn't the day this photo was taken that it happened, but one time when I was sick, Erich called me on Skype.  He played piano and read to me for hours.  I was the kind of sick where I was actually getting mildly delirious, and at some point, I told him I was a blanket monster, pulled the covers over my head, and rawred at him.  Yep.

 January 24 - Wet hair.  Soooooo attractive, I know.

 January 25 - Okay, so I was having an issue with hair this week.

 January 26 - Crazy hair continues.  And DOMO SHIRT!

January 27 - A nice, relaxing nap after three days of crazy hair.

 January 28 - This is my "I am plotting something" face.

January 29 - Giggles.

 January 30 - This is what happens when I don't take the day's picture until late.

 January 31 - Glaring off screen.  I wonder who the culprit could be...

And We're Back!

I am back at school!  But quite a few shenanigans have happened in between, so here we go!

January 11th - Didn't arrive back from the TFiOS signing until late.  What a great event!  I got to meet so many amazing people and got some pretty fantastic hugs.

January 12th - Read TFiOS the entire ride home.  I have so many feelings!  I've been reading TFiOS to Erich bit by bit over Skype because it's hard to read it alone.

January 13th - Spent the day with my best friends at home, trying to get in enough hugs to last me for the next few months while I won't see them.

January 14th - Last full day at home!  I went shopping and, to beat the winter blues, bought myself a new summery dress.

January 15th - Back at school!  I spent the day running around with the friends I'd been missing for a month.

January 16th - Best day ever.  Erich came to visit, and we spent the day running around Boston and Brandeis.

January 17th - First day of classes for the spring semester!  I got a consent code to take a class I really wanted that was full.  It was wonderful.

January 18th - I love my Wednesday schedule this semester because classes are over at noon for me.  I got to hang out with some friends and get reading done.  I have 100 pages of Grimm's Fairy Tales, 310 lines of the Canterbury Tales, and 6 articles about AIDS to read before tomorrow.  Guess it's going to be a fun night!

New York, New York

I HAVE INTERNET AGAIN!  I am in the home of the wonderful Gracie, who you will see below.  You have missed quite a few days while I have been in the land of no internet.  Let's get you caught up, shall we?

On the seventh, I arrived in Pennsylvania.  I wasn't sure what to wear to a farm show, so I just brought a lot of flannel shirts.

The next day, I spent all day at the farm show, and pretty much crashed when I got back to the trailer where I was staying.

 I continued the sleepy trend the next day.  After taking some medecine for my cold, I ended up sleeping almost all day and all night.  I woke up the next day feeling a lot better, though!

 And today I am in New York City, visiting the wonderful Gracie!  Tomorrow, we go to the Tour de Nerdfighting and see some wonderful nerdfighters at the NYC gathering!

For now, though, I think we're just going to watch Sherlock and call it a night.

And Away We Go

I am off on a wild adventure!  I will continue taking photos during my adventuring, but I will not be able to update this blog until I get home to the land of internet, most likely.

HERE, for those of you who are interested, is what I will be up to.
Today, I get on a bus ride to Long Island.  From there, I will leave for Pennsylvania, where I will be attending the farm show.  After the farm show, it's back to Long Island.  On Tuesday, I head out to New York City, and on Wednesday, I get to meet John Green!  On Thursday, after a very long train ride, I will finally come home to collapse.

January 4

Got my nails done with a special kind of polish that will supposedly not chip off, even if I do crazy things like play mandolin for hours on end.  It's girly, but it makes me smile.

January 5

There's this silly thing going around tumblr about a different way to wear men's shirts.  I figured I'd give it a try.  Doesn't look quite as good on me.

January 6

Re-dyed my hair one last time before I leave...which you of course can't tell in this photo.  Oh well!  You'll just have to believe me that it's bluer now.

Snow!

I woke up earlier than I expected this morning, considering I fell asleep at around 4 AM.  Good things happened, and I was too excited to fall asleep.  So, to pass the time, I called my roommate.  I miss her a lot; it's odd being away after spending almost every night in the same room.  Anyway. when I finally got off the phone and looked outside, IT HAD SNOWED.

So instead of playing inside all day, I decided it was time to go outside and play with my dogs.
